Star and Palm Island Miami Beach
Modern cameras, LPR, and a fully managed network for Palm & Star Island Miami Beach
Overview.
Before engaging Envigo Networks, both gatehouses relied on aging infrastructure. The existing camera system produced low-quality, unreliable footage that hindered security monitoring. Network connectivity was inconsistent, there was no managed network in place, and staff had no dedicated Wi-Fi to support operational tools or communication. For such critical access control points, the legacy setup posed significant risks and operational inefficiencies.
The Challenge.
PHS Association oversees security operations for the entrance gates of two of Miami Beach’s most exclusive residential communities—Palm Island and Star Island. With continuous vehicle traffic, high-profile homeowners, and elevated security expectations, the gatehouses required a modernized technology foundation capable of delivering reliable surveillance and uninterrupted connectivity.

The Solution.
Envigo Networks delivered a complete modernization of the security and network ecosystem, elevating performance, visibility, and reliability across both communities:
Deployed a new AXIS 4K camera system with advanced video analytics to enhance real-time monitoring and incident review.
Implemented License Plate Recognition (LPR) at the Star Island gate to improve vehicle logging and strengthen access verification.
Installed a fully managed Ubiquiti network, ensuring stable, secure connectivity for all gatehouse systems.
Introduced dedicated Wi-Fi coverage, enabling gate personnel to access internal platforms and communication tools without interruption.
“Envigo brought our security tech up to speed. The new system makes life easier for our team, and it gives everyone a lot more peace of mind.”
